Clara Bow: Discovering the It Girl

This biographical documentary traces the life of actress Clara Bow, who rose from humble beginnings living in a tenement in Brooklyn, New York to being recognized as Hollywood's first sex symbol. Bow paved the way for other women, including Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, allowing a candid sexuality to infuse both her personality as well as her performances. This documentary includes scenes from more than two dozen of Bow's most popular films, along with one-on-one interviews with colleagues and family members who knew her best.
